Yes, you read right! As I type, you can see little flakes of snow floating to the ground. The Penman's call them flurries, I think. Whatever you call it-- it is cold! How exciting!
...and here I am sweating to death in NC:) Wow- I hope I get to see snow in August, we leave on Sunday!!!! It's bittersweet as I'm sure you know from the yahoo group.
Christine- I wait every day for your update. Praise God that Alex is finally going home. Just a few more days!! Praying for all of you- every single day!! Deb
Snow....so hard to imagine right now :) I am just catching up with this blog...have been reading the other one. I am so excited for you and glad things seem to be going well! Can't wait to hear more! Melanie
We've had severe thunderstorms this summer with substantial hail here in CT but NEVER snow. In all your posts, you were saying how hot it is and now you have a dusting of snow. With living in CA, you and Julia probably were very excited.
My daughter lives in Moscow and they don't get their first snow usually until mid to late Oct. and it doesn't last.
The countdown is nearing the end for when Alex can leave the orphanage with you and Julia.
I am in houston texas and it is extremely hot but today we have rain. You are a great blogger, please continue to describe ukraine and the people. I truly admire you for the woman you are and this blogs inspires many including me to live outside the box. Have you ever thought of being in reality tv like those TLC shows? It would be a great idea to replace Jon & Kate since they are all out of place now. How would you call your show if you had one?

Something like Michigan. I actually had the car heater on a couple of weeks ago. Meanwhile, in Korea, Craig is dying of heat and humidity.... Weird weather.

Snowing? Wow. And only several hundred km away we are sweating in a heatwave.
Snowing? In the summer? Wow, that's weird, even for me, though i live in a country named ICEland...lol
Wasn't it like 95 degrees or something like that just a few days ago? Wow, you have been there awhile! LOL!

I thought it was only a few days since you were wearing singlet tops and melting from the heat. What an unusual place!

Hmmm.... I'm not sure I'm packing the right things! :)
Ok! What's the catch!?

Yep, they are called flurries; which was caused by the cold front that came in. So the air around us wasn't all that cold but far above us was.
