It Was So Vivid

Last night, I walked the halls with Alexsey. Yes, it was him---- and yes he was walking.

Sure it was only a dream, but it was so real. The kind of dream where I smelled his skin, touched his face, and heard his voice. I even woke up to see if I was dreaming or if it was real.

*Big sigh* I am anxious to go and see him. I can't help but wonder if he will remember us.

Our medicals are not scheduled to be delivered by FEDEX until Wednesday, but I am praying that they arrive quicker. Once they do we will have definitive news on our travel date. It will be hard to wait.

We are thinking of just calling him Alex.

I have a love/hate relationship with those type of dreams. It gives you a taste, but then just tempts you more.

Still praying!!

LOVE the name Alex! Josh has a cousin named Alex. If there wasn't already an 'Alex' in the family, one of my boys would surely have than name!

i like the name alex... it's a good strong name.

i had a dream the other day that i was holding the new baby, it was so sweet and i didn't want to leave that moment in dreamland where i knew it had to stay.

when i woke up for a couple of hours i almost felt like crying.... october seems so very far away right now.

i pray the time flies by for u :)

Perhaps the good Lord above gifted you with a prophetic dream. Alex's future is so bright! I think calling him Alex will help him fit it over here with his school peers, as some kids might find Alexsey feminine or babyish, and raz him about it. But woe be to a kid who teases a kid who has 11 siblings to stick up for him! ha ha ha

Wow, what a neat dream!! I've had those, too, where you wake up and are so bummed to find out it's a dream!

Even if you call him "Aleksey", he will probably end up being "Alex" anyway, just like my Nikolai is usually "Nick". Names are always shortened. Let's just hope he doesn't get called "Al"!! I'm guessing in the orphanage he's called Alyosha, actually.

how about calling him Alek. wht a great dream, Im sure it was hard to wake. It is so hard to wait until someone else deems it the right time, when all we want is to get those kids home and love them. hang in there. its closer all the time.

A note of encouragement... when we sent our last Fed Ex package (Phoenix to Kiev) a couple weeks ago, the envelope was supposed to arrive on a Friday, but it got there on Monday instead!

I like Alex as a name, too!

Blessings!
