A Happy Announcement!

Hi. We are the Reed Family.


This is a blog about our adoption journey to Alexsey. God willing, we will be able to bring him home to join our family.

Wow!! I can't believe I'm the first to congratulate on this exciting news!! I've been lurking on your Smiles and Trials blog and have been so blessed by you and your family. You are a true inspiration to many people. I have 3 children of my own, 2 girls and a boy in the middle. Alexsey is a blessed child to have been chosen by your family. Alexsey gets to be a Reed!! Yay! He will never be bored. There is always something interesting going on at your house. I wouldn't mind being a Reed myself! I had already prayed for a family to adopt Alexsey, and God has given him to you! I will be praying for a very easy and very fast adoption process. Congratulations to everyone!!!

Praying for you. Aleksy has a very special place in my heart. I don't know what I would have done if he had been transfered to an institution. Aleksy and the other RR kids have really changed my perception of my faith and the way I will build my family. I just couldn't get his face out of my head, you know what that is like!

Oh how I love those eyes... they are the exact color of Mary's! Supposedly she was headed to the same place, though I find it hard to fathom given how mobile and able she is. I have prayed for him non-stop and continue to pray for you all AND him now. We will do all we can to help you.

I am thrilled for your family and for Alexey! It's wonderful that one of your daughters and Dennis will get to go with you. I would love to adopt more too, but lots more prayers are needed for that to happen. For now, I'll experience the excitement vicariously through your blog. Congratulations!

P.S. Great family photo! How do you get eleven kids to all look at the camera at the same time? I can't even get five to do that!
