What a Blessing!

Fellow blogger Jennifer emailed me this morning with the greatest gift! Recent pictures of Alexsey! And here they are!

A group of American medical professionals are over in Ukraine right now working with orphans. Please go check out their blog to read all about it! I am so thankful that they spent time with Alexsey and showed him some attention! I am also so jealous of them--- how I wish I could be there doing what they are doing! Maybe once my kids are all grown up! Anyone care to join me?

" He's somewhat shy with the camera, but has the cutest voice and personality." Awwwww.... how precious.

I love what these ladies are doing! I'd love to join you as well. I caught one of my teenage boys looking at Reece's Rainbow yesterday. He'd like to become a doctor. I think he'd like to make mission trips, too!

Simply precious!! I'm thrilled you have new pictures of sweet Aleksey. It sounds like he is very sweet to the little girl in the picture, too. I can't wait to see him in your arms!

What great pictures. I'd love to be able to go on a missions trip like that sometime. Mark and I have talked about it when the kids are a little older.

that would be so much fun to do what they are doing. Is it just me or does Alexsey sorta look like a Reed? I mean, he really looks like he belongs to you-because he does, right? Praying for you all!

How cute! I have a question though. Why do they not know that he's been selcted to be adopted? I'm hoping that their blog helps find a family for the little girl that is pictured with Alexsey.

I will read their blog a bit later, but I am so excited you got new pics of Alexsey. He is so cute and I can't wait to see him right in your home! Love to you, Christine.

That is the kind of mission trip I would like to go on, although I'm sure it would break my heart.

Christine, You know you can count me in to go on mission trips with you once the kids are grown! I've done many trips to Mexico with the Flying Doctors of Mercy. This kind of work is contagious!!!! What a blessing these new pics are. :-)

Alexsey may be shy with the camera now, but wait until he comes home! He'll be just as relaxed as the others. I can't wait to see the photos!!

Christine, you remind me so much of my daughter-in-law, Linda. She works with street children in Nairobi, Kenya and shares your passion for helping orphans. I'm so impressed with both of you! You both have a heart for children. Our world needs you.

I have 1 question. I have noticed 2 different spellings of Alexsey/Aleksey. Which is the correct one?

What a great gift to get. It's wonderful that this orphanage is so proactive for these children. I was excited to see a picture of Vova, our friend & driver, on the website. He is a great guy and does a lot for the children there when he can. I am really hoping that Aleksey is home very soon, things seem to be moving along nicely.

I'd join you in a heartbeat. Actually, I've been mulling something over in my mind but don't have the faintest idea how to get it started. I feel the overwhelming urge to try to do something for the deaf and hard-of hearing kids. Any ideas?

I'll join you in a second. Alexey looks great, he looks a lot older. Maybe it's just the photos.

Hi Christine!
Love the pictures... that IS such a blessing! I'm sure that you might be able to find older pictures of him as well if some of the families that adopted from there look back!

Debbie already gave you the same award that I did - so consider yourself extremely award-worthy! You can check it out on my blog!
Take care!! Hugs!
