What a Gift!

Lucie, you made my day. Thank you for pointing out that we had pictures of Alexsey from when we adopted Dennis that I forgot we had. You have given us a great gift--- thanks again. I even found a few I didn't post before.

Alexsey is in the background holding the red bucket. Can you see how happy he is to be watching John?

Looking at these pictures bring me such joy....... mixed with sadness. I'm overjoyed because I have yet another picture of our soon to be little boy that I didn't even realize we had. I am overjoyed because seeing his smile reminds me of why he touched my heart so. My sadness comes because he should be right there with all the other children--- not stuck in some crib. I have sadness because all of those other children also deserve a family that is going to love them forever but we cannot bring home.

All of the kids thrived on the little attention we gave them. I especially saw it in Alexsey because he doesn't get as much as the other kids. Oh, I can't wait to go get him!

Dear Lord, Please give Alexsey a hug for me today.

What a wonderful gift to have, to cherish for now and ever. I can't wait 'til you get to post pictures of Alexsey with his "family". Blessings to you all.

sorry if you have answered this before, but my 6 year old was standing beside me looking at the pictures and I couldn't answer her question -- she wanted to know if he could crawl of is he just able to pull himself up (like in the crib). I knew you said he was "limited" at this point in time but wasn't sure to what extent.

Hi Anon. We are not 100% positive because we can't remember whether or not we saw him actually crawl, but I do know that he is able to get around whether it be crawling, scooting or whatever.

You're welcome Christine! I don't know what made me look at your old blog- but when I saw these pictures - I had to point them out to you- Everything happens for a reason!

Please bring a little one home for me to love. If only that were possible...

I am anticipating Alexsey's arrival. I can't wait to see him cuddled up with the family like we have seen Dennis.

Look at all those little toddlers/preschoolers! Why in the world do they have to make it so hard and expensive to adopt. The twin's adoption is taking sooooo long that I don't know if I could ever go through another international adoption. However, if a couple of those toddlers (or older)could be hidden in your luggage...

Oh Christine, I echo the sentiments of the above commenters. Those children are so precious. That little girl in the pink would have so much fun with Annabeth. Here's an idea - we'll rent a plane and drop a huge basket over the orphanage and you can just scoop up as many kids as you can into the basket and we will pull it up and we can take them home.

I wish I could just scoop all those precious little kids up and give them all a home with us. I agree with the other commenters bring a few extra home for us..lol

As silly as this might sound this makes me want to sing Jesus Loves the Little Children. He does! Praying that each and everyone of these blessings have or will find their permanent home soon!

And how wonderful to have more pictures of your beautiful son!! What a nice surprise!!

Isn't that fun!?! That little Alexey is going to be a heart-breaker some day!!!

You didn't happen to have met Simon while you were there, did you? I would sure love to see more pictures of him! :o) (The little bugger!)

I hope that the restrictions that were there when Michelle got Mary are lifted. I would LOVE to get pictures of more kids for the site and for future parents!!

Look at all those adorable children and here it is taking FOREVER for one of the women whose blog I read to adopt a daughter (or two sisters). Insane that it takes so long, costs so much and the children get older and older in the orphages.

He is so adorable and how amazing it was to find these photos and "catch" him in the background! I bet your face lit up. :)

(That little boy (or girl, its hard to tell with their clothes and short hair) in the yellow and white shirt and blue shorts is so precious! I want to scoop him (or her) up and bring them home!)

Sweet pictures.

Nosey Question: At what point do they tell Alexsey that he is going to come live with you.

Given his physical condition are you expecting any mental delays or challenges?

Feel free to answer only part or none of this - just wondering.

OMG Christine,
Those kids are adorable...all of them. To think there are orphanages filled with little kids like these just breaks my heart. i'll take 2. When we adopted Nick, we rarely saw any of the other kids. It is great you got to interact with all of them. They must have had fun!!
