Might Take A Few Months

If nothing changes between now and November--- that looks like when we'll be traveling.

This is not set in stone----- God can change this just like he changed things for Dennis' adoption.

Alexsey is running out of time. He is on the verge of being transferred from the wonderful baby house he is at now to a horrible institution.

I can't bear the thought of him being there another six months.

psalm 139:3 You chart the path ahead of me and tell me where to stop and rest. Every moment you know where I am.

I hope you guys get to go before then. I'll be praying for a miracle. please God, please, intervene here and let them be able to rescue Alexsey much sooner than Novembe.

My heart goes out to you as you wait.

"Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the LORD that will be established." Proverbs 19:21

Praying that his purpose will be for Alexsey to get home with you sooner, rather than later.

Why, oh why? What has happened? It would be a dreadful trauma for him, having to live in the institution for so long! Can't they keep him since they know you are coming (like they did with another child)?

praying all works out and Aleksy is home before you know it!

Christine,

I understand your pain and frustration about this first hand as our little girl is affected by the same thing that might keep Alexsey from you longer than you thought. We had hoped to be travelling by the end of this month, but now it looks like we will not be able to travel until the end of October.

I am praying that things will change before then! I am faithful that God will not make our children wait one minute longer than He sees necessary. I am learning on this journey that our timing is not always God's timing and although I can not understand why, I have to trust that He knows why.

How old is Alexey? Is he 4 yet? If he's not yet 4, and Anatole knows you're coming for him, I'm sure he'd hold him for you. Even if he was just over 4...

That is horrible. I hope that things move quickly so you can travel over the summer. If not, I hope that they keep him where he is for the few extra months.

Why the delay? Do you know?

This post immediately brought me to my knees in tears. I am praying for God to move quickly so Alexsey can come home to you!

That's terrible, praying for things to move along quickly. I thought they wouldn't move him if an adoption was in the works... :(

With Anastasia they kept her at the preschool orphanage so she wouldn't have that additional transition. I hope they will be sensitive enough to do that for Aleksey. On the up side - people there do appear to care for him.
