As a nice farewell our friend's made us all dinner over at their house. It worked out great since they are watching most of our kids this weekend. Grandma and Grandpa joined us too--- and it was a really nice way to send us off!
Anna must have hugged me a thousand times----- she is definitely the baby girl of the family and let me know how much she would miss all of us. Everyone was very generous with their hugs--- including Dennis even though he found it odd to be saying goodbye to siblings he usually goes home with all the time.
We are all packed and about to head out the door. We have a long drive down to LAX where we will catch an early morning flight out.
Stay tuned.........

Praying Christine! Do you get to bring Alexsey home with you when it's all done or do you have to go back again?
Praying here too! I am so happy Alexsey will see him mom and dad soon!
Praying for a safe and uneventful other than getting Alexsey trip! I will be praying for your children while you are away. I know how hard that it is...torn between two places.

I have not figured out if you are going to go back for a 2nd trip? AND I am just realizing that you are taking Dennis back with you. How wonderful for the caregivers to get to see all of his progress!!

Praying for a safe trip! :) If you need Bogdan's number, let me know. He has a great (and inexpensive) place to stay - $35 a night! All the modern ammenities! :)
Praying for a safe and enjoyable trip for all of you, and a joyous reunion with Alexey on the other end!
I've got goosebumps just thinking about it...and tears of joy.

I'm crying tears and I wasn't even there! Praying for a safe and quick journey!
I've thought of you so often today flying to the East Coast and then off to the Ukraine. What a long flight. Hope Dennis sleeps a lot on the planes.
The caregivers at the orphange will be shocked to see how Dennis has changed and grown. It's good that they'll see what wonderful things have happened since he left a year ago.
Wonder if he and Alexesy will remember one another.
Anxious to see your blog and hoping things go smoothly for you.
Kate and Natalia: I miss your blogs.
