We Have Been Approved!!!!!!

After the last email from immigration, I sent a nice follow up. In my thoughts I was hopeful that God would work miracles. Yet, I knew that whenever the approval letter came, it would be in His timing and it would be miraculous none the less-- even if that meant a month from now. Afterall, our first adoption took four and a half months to get approval, and Dennis' took six weeks from the time we got our invite to be fingerprinted. Imagine my excitement when I got this email in less than three weeks from the time we fingerprinted!

Thank you God for this confirmation! You are moving mountains!

Christine,

Your application was approved today. You will receive notice by mail very soon.

Thanks,

yknow if you start thinking I bet you have spent a million dollars in adoptions. and I bet you cant imagine spending them any other way. how wonderful that so many people come together so bring home another child. Another child that will not waste away in an orphanage never knowing the love of a true family. Come home soon Alexy!

Wow! You could probably go back and get a third child in the amount of time it takes for one adoption from Haiti! So jealous : )

I have a silly question as I'm not in the know on adoption :) What's next? Does this mean that you are free to go get Alexsey...next week? :) I know that's not the case, but just wondering what your next step is since you have the okay!

So excited for you Christina and I absolutely LOVE reading your blog!

Hi Christine! I thought you would be interested in this: I have posted comments before, and probably the last time I was saying, "hmmmmm.... maybe we could actually adopt", having assumed before that our family is 'too large' (we have 7 bio chidren, ages 2 to 9.) I have background in early childhood special ed, and have always truly enjoyed young children. Anyway, this evening some of my kids were ready for bed and I said, hey come look here (I look at the pictures on Reeces Rainbow and dream of taking one of these precious kids into our family.) We have talked before how there are children who don't have a mom and dad and sisters and brothers ... so I was just showing them some of the pictures. My kids are like me, and they just wish we could take most of them to live with us! But especially my boys fell in love with Max (brown eyes, hand deformities.) And they really, really want to have this boy as their brother! Oh dear! We don't have a dime that we could put into adoption (and I don't mean that our money goes into fancy living expenses, but we just don't have much beyond paying living expenses.) The boys were even discussing amongst themselves that he looks so nice, he would probably be the nicest kid in our family! When even the kids have it in their hearts that they would love to take Max (or any of the kids they saw, they said) into our family, it's really too bad we just can't make it happen. Anyway, I thought you would like to hear about our evening discussions!!

Would you be willing to post contact info so if folks want to mail you items for your auction in mid-April they could?

Oh my gosh, Joni, I am so excited! My heart has fallen in love with Max and I think about him everyday. I am not in the right place physically to adopt him myself, and I am so glad someone else is being led to adopt him! These past few days I have been feeling like God is calling me to do something to help him be adopted. I don't know what it is, but He (being the Lord), sure isn't let me forget about Max. I even started crying when I was reading your post to my husband. It was as if God were answering my prayers, reassuring me he was going to be okay. If it is God's will, He will provide. Please keep me posted and let me know if you might push ahead! Ny email address is vandercindy@yahoo.com
(Christine, I had even thought of emailing you and asking you to bring him back with Alexsey!)
