Drenched

Today we got drenched.
Drenched in rain.

And you know what?
It felt wonderful.
Absolutely wonderful.

Like a gift from God bringing a break from the heat.
I purposefully splashed in puddles.
I let my feet bathe in the cool refreshing water.

Dennis loved it too.
Oh how I wish Alosha could have been with us.
He would have loved it too.

The best part about today's rain was that it washed away the heat, the humidity, the dust, and the smell.
And it couldn't have come at a better time.
Tonight, we will all get a cool night's rest--- all in time for court tomorrow.

Doesn't rain just have a wonderful way of washing the world clean! I love it. Y'all sound so happy, I can't help but sit here smiling while reading your post. Prayers for tomorrow, I am just in awe at how fast all of this has happened. It is so inspiring to see God at work to get Alosha home.

I am surprised at how excited *I* am! I don't know any of you, but "watching" your family grow and grow is amazing.
This may seem cheesy, but I sincerely thank you for sharing your "story" with me. (and countless others!) Just awesome. :)
And yay for refreshing rain!!

It sounds like your kids are being real troupers. What an awesome experience although Dennis probably won't remember it for long.

Oooh, sounds great. It was 112 here yesterday and it's supposed to be 111 degrees today. You're lucky you're escaping this. I'm so glad you're having a good time.

I am so out of the loop, I did not realize you were back in Ukraine, bless your hearts, bringing home another special Ukrainian child. I wish I were there right now, seeing Vorzel, letting them see Kara, I am so happy Dennis can see his old home, did he recognize his caregivers?

Prayers for a seamless adoption.

After almost 5yrs in Egypt, you know we appreciate the rain!! We were told that is was raining like crazy in DC before we got here, and we had some rain when we arrived. The kids begged for umbrellas - their first! We got them... and we haven't had a chance to use them ;-D

Looks like you guys are having a wonderful time together! Lots of love to you all!!!

That rain felt good. We about had to swim back from Slovansk. It took us an hour to get back and at one point, I thought the water was going to come into the car!

Hello family,
You will be a bit of tranquility that soon will become complete relaxation with a child more at home, what joy of family.
Be strong, we encourage everyone to not feel alone at any time.
