Saying Goodbye....

Today John and Dennis will say goodbye to Alex, Julia, and I---
and we will say goodbye to them.

It will be bittersweet.

For one, it marks one more leg in the process that we can put behind us and John can get back home to the kids. I know he will give them plenty of love from me.

We went and saw Alex today and told him that we will all be going to on a semolat (airplane) in a couple of weeks. I think he understood.

A reporter from a Donetsk newspaper came and interviewed us and took pictures. She did an article on Dennis when he first came to Antoshka. Her goal is to encourage women here to keep their children even if they have special needs---- she hopes our story will show people that it is possible to raise children even if they are not physically perfect. Hopefully, we can provide the link once she is done writing the article.

The weather continues to be very nice--- some more rain is reported-- Praise the Lord!

Time seems to be flying to me but it must seem like forever to you and to your kids at home! Praying that you are quickly reunited with no dramas.

Taking the computer!!!!! How will you have daily access with the family (and us)? I'll miss your blog updates.

That's great that you met another American family going the same route and that they live in the same building.

Great about the story.

This was the part that was hardest for me during Maddie's adoption. It broke my heart having to say goodbye to Shad, but it meant I was one step closer to taking her home.
We'll be praying for you during this time (and stalkin the blog for updates). What a blessing to have another family right there with you! :)

What a wonderful opportunity to be able to have your family's story be a testimony to families in your children's native country! Prayers that this article will be able to make a difference for many children! :)

Yes! Just one more way God is using your family for His bigger purpose! You adopting Dennis, (and now Alex) is so much bigger than the 14 of you, if other mothers are inspired to keep their "imperfect" children, instead of feeling incapable of raising them at home! Hurray!
I'm also going to get withdrawal symptoms waiting for you to get home and share the rest of your adventure with us! :o( It feels like such a privelge to tag along via blogland. It's going to be tough waiting, lol
Have a great trip John and Dennis. Enjoy the rest of your stay Christine and Julia!

You and Julia will have a wonderful adventure together and the bonding will be something you will always cherish; I am confident of that.

But - John has a lot of nerve to take the computer! My gosh! I'm joining the hoard of the horrified here....a little late, but with full vigor.
